DALLAS – January 20, 2016 – WeddingWire, the leading global online wedding marketplace, named Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant as a winner of the prestigious WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® 2016 for wedding catering in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The Colony Grand Opening Charity Event

New Abuelo’s in The Colony Holds Grand Opening Charity Event

Grand Opening Event, February 8, to Benefit Mended Little Hearts of Dallas

LUBBOCK, Texas – Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, which recently opened in The Colony at the Village at 121 at 5733 State Highway 121, is hosting a Grand Opening fundraising event on Monday, February 8, to benefit Mended Little Hearts of Dallas. The restaurant will donate 50 percent of all sales, all day, to Mended Little Hearts, a support program for parents of children with heart defects and heart disease.  

Additionally, The Colony Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the restaurant’s opening.

“We are excited to bring Abuelo’s to The Colony and we look forward to being an active part of this growing community,” said Andy Krage, general manager of The Colony Abuelo’s. “We’re also thrilled to be able to benefit such an outstanding organization as Mended Little Hearts.
